Sustainable packaging should be made from materials from which we obtain waste that will be processed into products, materials or substances that can be reused for their original or other purposes.
Our preferred corrugated cardboard can be recycled up to 9 times.
Some types of material cannot be fully recycled, but waste material can still be used to produce “inferior” but useful material. We call this process “downcycling”. A typical example is beverage cartons – recycling them does not create new beverage cartons, but the waste material produced can be used to make paper or building boards.
